There are four spacious guest rooms. All rooms have private bath. Three have clawfoot tubs with shower, one has a shower only. All have Wi-Fi service.

The rooms are large and bright; most have sofas and water views. The wide pine flooring has been restored to its original state. All rooms have bathrobes, reading material to suit every taste, french truffles and toiletries. Most are pillow top mattresses and all have down duvets, Frette linens and local quilts.

Suzi is your Innkeeper. I grew up in Chester and then travelled for 5 years following university. I attended the London Cordon Bleu School of Cooking, thinking if nothing else, at least I won’t eat Kraft Dinner the rest of my life. During the winter I cook on private charter yachts in the Caribbean.

The Mecklenburgh is a casual spot. Take your shoes off, make a cocktail, kick back, jump in the hammock. Relax. Unwind. Enjoy.
